Gigi D'Agostino - L'Amour Toujours

I dont care if it is eurotrash disco, there is something really happy about Gigi D'Agostino's music that just makes me smile and want to to spin around like a goofy Sufi Dervish.

Things that make me smile

You know i was thinking a few minutes ago...there are very few toys that make me smile as much as my Logitech G11 Keyboard, using the G keys for shortcuts just rocks in a way you cant understand until you've used it for a while.

LinkedIn spam control = Fail

http://www.linkedin.com/groupAnswers?viewQuestionAndAnswers=&discussionID=42941995&gid=61398&commentID=44284646&trk=view_disc

Does anyone else find it distressing that LinkedIn allows spam to stay on the site even AFTER it's flagged as spam.

Whats the point of having "Flag as inapropriate" and then hiding the message from you BUT everyone else has to still read it....oh and when you visit the article later....the spam has reappeared and is sill there.

Spam flagging on LinkedIn = fail.

Amanda Palmer

I just found out about "The Dresden Dolls"this weekend from watching a Masha Terentieva video.....btw you think that was good watch her here...amazing to see what she can do with her body (she's in Cirque Du Soleil) lol she's welcome to fake fall over me again anytime she wants.

I picked these tracks because in the beginning you get to see her and Brian as Dresden Dolls but then you get to see what a powerhouse solo performer Amanda Palmeris. The Radiohead cover in particular is perfect for a one take live clip.

I've just loaded up my Amazon cart with everything they've released....lol hope the neighbours like them :)

...lol and in case that was all a little too serious:)

who do you think would be better in an international drug deal? Evan Williams, Biz Stone or Jack Dorsey?

Which one do you think will become the Oliver North of our times?

Happy 4th of July of July

Happy 4th of July everyone.

I snapped this photo of the flag hung by our neighbours across the street.......i didn't have the heart to tell them they hung it the wrong way around.

Do yourself a favor and get yourself a ticket up the front as there is so much amazing stuff to see.

Winklevii-Myspace

made me chuckle so passing it on….

GSM 20 years old today

Engadget posted an article about GSM turning 20 years old today.
http://www.engadget.com/2011/07/01/gsm-turns-20-today-still-rocking-the-world/

having moved to Verizon....i really miss not being able to swap my sim card from device to device. (also not being able to use my phone in australia with a local sim card).

cdma sucks in regard to this.

having said that ATT sucks worse....so stuck with verizon for now but i'd change back to gsm just for these features.

Grecian accounting

lol in the book This Time Is Different: Eight Centuries of Financial Follyit talks about how in the 19th century Greece was in default for 53 straight years.

Personally i'd be happy to lend Greece money at 10% - i wouldn't however be happy to lend money to the USA at 0.25%, i think the chance of getting paid back from both is fine.....the issue is kind of moot about reliability of being paid (when is a different matter), the bigger issue with the USA raising the debt ceiling is how this affect the ability in the long term to pay for "other" stuff apart from interest repayments...you know like schooling.health care, space exploration etc.....oh and sending $1m tomahawk missiles to blow up rocks is an expensive way to do landscaping as well.

Cheers,
Dean
