Crimea
Reading up on the history of the Crimea Region (eastern Ukraine) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimea#In_the_Soviet_Union
Lol based on how many people have "owned it" over the years....probably due for a new change of ownership.
I wonder how people in Kiev will feel when the country is split in two and the eastern (most industrious?) side goes over to Russia and the Western side goes over to the EU.
If the two new countries split the national debt of $75b down the middle.....I think the EU/USA may have an issue with having to put up funds for the ongoing support.

Why New York's Technology Sector Needs Immigration Reform

It takes techies to build tech and the booming New York technology economy needs more people trained and skilled in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to fuel its continued growth. In fact, a recent analysis found that between 2007 and 2012, the number of tech/information jobs in NYC grew by 11 percent, or some 26,000 jobs, adding $5.8 billion in additional wages to the economy. China's 3 warships....or American Marines....its your choice
I wonder how many Australians understand this article in the SMH today is PR fluff to justify an increase in the number of American troops in the USA and the further annexation of Australia to the USA as its 51st state due to weak Australian politicians

To be honest I don't just blame Australian politicians but also Australian ignorance themselves - I mean how many aussies even understand how many USA marines are stationed in Darwin already (and the bigger picture of what this means).
Personally after living in the USA for a number of years....I'd feel a lot more comfortable if we aligned ourselves with Asia than with a dying super power with a history of meddling internationally for its own benefits rather than its partners......
