Evolution of languages

It may just be my whacked out geek brain.... but i love seeing the evolution of meme speak and how they are used for general comments on society.

I sometimes wonder if philologists of the future will understand the etymology of Bruz and Star Wars "right" meme and covid-19 ....or will they be as opaque and hieroglyphics and lost to the sands of time.

 We live in interesting times.

Its all a great experiment.....and no one knows how it is going to end.

Great comments in a Goldman Sachs report..... to think we all wasted so much time learning economic theory.......

Respawn, its morning, its time to play again

The best part about the earth spinning every 24 hours is......every morning you get the opportunity to wake up, get up, play the game yet again.

You are given the gift of the opportunity to play a perfect game, to score 100/100 and to beat the Final Boss Man.

.....and if you dont......thats ok-respawn/wait/there is always tomorrow, when you get another go to do it all again.

A free press is critical to democracy. On this #WorldPressFreedomDay, we recognize the courage of journalists around the world. And we recommit ourselves to protecting and promoting a free and independent press everywhere.

Proof that Kamala is just as corrupt and bent as the rest of them.

Time for an Australian Republic?

The Queen is dead....long live the queen?

We all know this headline is coming and coming soon. My question is this......how long after this is it socially acceptable to call for a referendum for an Australian Republic?

I strongly believe that the "identity" of a country is driven by choices like this. Even if you think a president or a governor general has no real affect on your day to day life.

We can agree to disagree, Big/Small/No Difference....and thats ok....thats what the point of a referendum is. But you only need to look at the EU/UK Brexit referendum to understand that either outcome is ok.....but its important the people are involved and understand how they are being governed.

In Australia at the moment there is a total lack of interest in politics - i believe that this is related to our "tiered governing system" in that some upper deity god like has ultimate control........ it is a very different belief system in republics.

 Anyway....something to think about.
