EG. If I give someone a BitCoin in return for USA dollars….am I giving them currency or am I giving them a thing? If I’m giving them a currency then wouldn’t the USA government first need to classify bitcoins as legal tender and if bitcoins ARE classified as currency then shouldn’t I be able to transact any transaction with the federal government in said currency eg I look forward to going to the post office and insisting that they take my bitcoins in order to mail a letter.

And If BitCoins are NOT legal tender/currency and just a commodity then why do we need to report all our customers transactions to the USA federal government?

 

Do art dealers have to report all transactions? How about wheat/commodities traders? If I buy a puppy President Obama do I need to send a letter to you with the details? Was Bo’s dealer registered with the NSA?

You have to laugh though at the references to “Underground bitcoin exchanger” I call for the immediate arrest of Meg Whitman….underground “auction” trader…..must be arrested today.

Either that....or someone at the Brooklyn post office better be accepting BitCoins next time I try to mail a stamp.

Lumber Liquidators

Disappointed is the best way to described our experience with Lumber Liquidators this time around.

We ordered  1/2" x  3-1/4" Brazilian redwood these are the same boards we used in 2008 and loved them so when renovating the lower floor this year it was a natural choice to purchase the same to match the whole apartment.......
Purchased about 500 square feet and what we got shipped was junk. The boards were stacked in the hallway for a few weeks until installation day and when we opened the boxes we basically could only use about 50% of the boards from each box, the rest were missing tongues, were missing the clear sealant covering, were split or damaged in some other way etc etc.

The builder is pissed at me, i'm pissed at Lumber Liquidators, the timeline is all blown to hell.

The retail outlet we purchased from in Brooklyn is saying because we've had the boards and only complaining now the best they can do is take back the unopened boxes (worse still we need to deliver to them even though we paid for shipping to us which cost me an additional $300 to have someone to do this) and they would deliver back replacement boxes for anything unopened (but we couldn't use them for a week etc while the boards acclimatized ....)

All in all this is probably the last time i'll use factory finished boards......and definitely wont be using Lumber Liquidators again.

Melissa Mark-Viverito elected city council speaker

What the heck is it with New York politicians and cooking the books?? eg Charlie Rangel (who also wrote the Heart Taxation Act), and now yesterday Melissa Mark-Viverito was elected speaker of the NY council even though just last week it was found she cheated not reporting income on a building on E111th street she owns.

What I find the most interesting is her competitor "withdrew".....what sweetheart deal was he offered by Bill de Blasio in order to allow no vote for her promotion to occur.

Apathetic American Voters

Was just watching #IronJawedAngels (again), I think that anyone in America who is too apathetic to vote should be forced to watch this movie and if they continue to chose not to vote then that is their choice....but after watching Hillary Swank and cast I'd be surprised if they wouldn't be motivated enough to find the time to listen to the positions, form an opinion, and then actually make the effort to vote - http://bit.ly/ironjawedangels
