I wonder how much faster we could do this research if we got rid of all religion and wars and stopped blowing the shit out of each other at 2-4% of our total GDP
I guess there is always hope that humans will actually evolve.....but probably not in my lifetime.
When you look at how much potential there is in the light/matter conversion (unlimited energy for one) it makes you realize we aren't much more evolved than stick wielding cavemen.
