You have to ponder the fate of Australia these days, how unfortunate we are to find ourselves with Tony Abbott in comparison.....with his small minded ideas and attitudes......
ok I've just been corrected about my Gough Whitlam post yesterday

4 July 1971 Whitlam lead a (labour party but not as PM) delegation to China and met Chou En Lai. Kissinger arrived for his visit a week later
Richard Nixon as head of state meet Mao Zedong in Beijing, February 21, 1972. Whitlam as head of state in Oct 1973.
