Watched an interesting 60 Minutes episode this week.
and the "deeper conversation" 60 mins overtime - https://www.cbsnews.com/news/scientists-can-use-crispr-to-edit-genes-should-they/ that they didn't cover in the basic story.
Been reading up on various sites today, interesting to see lots of issues with immunology that crispr will have - https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2018/01/crispr-humans-immune-system/549974/
And some of the potential causes of concern eg this one https://www.nytimes.com/1999/11/28/magazine/the-biotech-death-of-jesse-gelsinger.html
Whats really interesting is how "DNA specific" CRISPR can be....lol Kim Jong Un using a porta potty and taking his poop back home with him from the meeting doesn't seem so dumb after all anymore......
No need to use "laced toothpaste" anymore and worry someone else will use it.........just get a DNA sample, cook up some gene editing substances specific enough and ship an entire case through channels.
