You know what really pisses me off.....how many people must have known about this for years and said absolutely nothing and then one guy comes along and says screw this.

I used to look at people who talked about Area 51 and aliens visiting and thought lunatics there is no way you could keep that a secret but when you realize 29,999 people had access to this......and kept silent you have to wonder what else we aren't being told (eg fusion works and energy got solved ages ago etc).

Edward Snowden....I don't expect to be in Russia any time soon but if I am and I see you in a bar the beers are on me for the night as I don't think you should ever have to pay for drinks in any bar in the world for life.

Really digging this song I just came across yesterday called "Let The Rythym Just" by The Polish Ambassador, really reminds me of some old school De la Soul or even A Tribe Called Quest


They have a mp3 album for sale on Amazon and its supposedly available on cd as well but haven't been able to find it anywhere yet.

Comcast is turning customer wifi cpe into access points

I haven’t seen many posts about the recent Comcast announcement - http://techcrunch.com/2014/06/11/comcast-is-turning-the-us-into-its-own-private-hotspot/ but wondering if that’s because people don’t understand the ramifications of it (or don’t care).

 

Although Time Warner hasn’t announced they are doing this here in New York ….you can bet it wont be long before they do so.

 

Basically what this means is that “from the central office” they can “flip a switch” so that your home cable modem/wifi access point is now not only serving traffic to you and your family but also anyone who wants to sit outside your house and log in with their time warner username/password.

 

Your choices are basically….accept it – or purchase your own hardware from Amazon or similar (btw this means you no longer have to pay the $5 per month cable modem rental fee which saves you money after 1 year), if you are looking to purchase your own hardware this SB6121 is the type of device you are looking for -  http://bit.ly/twsb6121   as its wifi free and once you own it cant be controlled by the “central office”
