NBN - A Network Error

He called his internet retailer to ask about their 100 Mbps NBN plan ($80 a month), and here’s where the story gets interesting. They didn’t want to sell him the 100 Mbps plan, recommending a 25 Mbps plan instead, and telling him the NBN had said that, for the coexistence period of 18 months (while ADSL and NBN technologies were running simultaneously), there’d be a slowdown in NBN speeds. Curious, Adam called the NBN and was told that was rubbish, and he should definitely be able to get up to 100 Mbps at his address. He called the retailer back and ordered the 100 Mbps plan. All i can say is i'm glad i live in New York with unlimited download 300/30 for $70 a month while this crap is going on.

Cant believe people voted Turnbull in.

We were so close.....but now so far.

What i dont understand is why we as Australian voters arent doing more to lobby around getting this fixed.

These are our rights that are being affected.

These are services we pay good money for that are being delivered poorly.

When are we as a nation going to utilise the resources we posses in order to force a better service level agreement for our money?

NSW land titles "sold" to private interests for $2.6b......for a footy stadium upgrade

Property owners of NSW.....hope you had your bran this morning because bend over....you just got shafted.

It makes absolutely no sense to sell off the family silverware today if you have to pay to rent it back next Sunday.....and why did we do this? All to upgrade some footy stadiums.

What a joke.

The Berejiklian government has announced it will lease the state's 150-year-old land titles registry to Hastings Funds Management and First State Super for 35 years, after accepting their bid of $2.6 billion.


I give it about 12-18 months before they start jacking up prices due to "unforeseen circumstances" (lol=33.5 years worth of #FatProfits).

Whats the bet that HFM make more than $130m x 35 years for their $2.6b investment......it will make this "lease payment" look like chump change

Anyone staying with @Westpac deserves to get shafted after they raise investor rates 0.28% to pump up profits.

There was NO corresponding RBA move, this is just profit driven.

Strata Schemes "an Australian postal address"

Wow just been told by NSW Fair Trading someone screwed up Nov 2016 update and left the word "Australian" for postal address requirement.

1 in 20 Australians currently live overseas and some of these would most likely be property owners so even though we can have "electronic communications" and attend AGM's via skype or electronic polling.....the AGM notices can ONLY be sent via mail to an Australian registered address according to Strata Schemes Management Act Sec 178

Who do we contact in NSW parliament to get this act changed by legislation and how much is this screwup going to cost taxpayers?

lol so you can have an AGM meeting via Skype.....but you have to get the notice about the meeting via Australian post snail mail only....

FCC OK’s First Unlicensed LTE in 5 GHz

The Federal Communications Commission this morning announced that it had “just authorized the first LTE-U—LTE for unlicensed—devices in the 5 GHz band.” This was according to a tweet from @FCC on Twitter, and soon after, a rare blog post from Julius Knapp, chief of the FCC Office of Engineering & Technology.

So for anyone running office networks etc....having trouble with your 5ghz wifi range......might want to keep an eye out for a box that looks like this.

What you are supposed to do about it when you find it.....who knows, not my problem, call the FCC  (and shield your nuts while you wait for them to do something) I guess.
