Anyone on the list know how this material works?

Am I right in that what this is doing, eg once the wavelength gets "out" it cant bounce back in. (could be totally wrong though.....)
Only problem I see though is wouldn't you need to "flip the material" in the winter? eg allow the outside environment to act as a heat pump and bring radiant heat.....into the building?
