Not a choice I'd make personally :) but interesting none the less about choices.
Unfortunately doesn't explain what/why they are doing this, I'm guessing but as China doesn't have a good retiree social services program you'll probably find its for saving of long term retirement funds but I could be wrong and its purely choice.
