I was just reading this article

when something caught my eye
Hutto, a 512-bed center run for profit by the Corrections Corporation of America under a $2.8 million-a-month federal contract

Hmmm
2,800,000 cost div by
512 beds
5,468 equals


So it's cost $5468 per detainee per month....... Holy crap.
