Verizon Iobi

I cleaning out internet explorer bookmarks today (dammed you MS Live Favorites and your upper use limits) and came across this link.
http://www.convergedigest.com/Bandwidth/newnetworksarticle.asp?ID=9808

Which makes me want to ask the question:

What ever happened to Verizon Iobi?

In this day of competition for carriage against Vonage, cable companies and other triple play threats etc why aren’t carriers trying to build more feature rich services? It seems everyone is just trying to compete on price instead of adding value to what it is that they offer and winning on features and functionality.

Quick question – what do YOU want from your home phone service?

Cheers,
Dean

  1. I still use Verizon's iobi service and think it's great especially who is calling at home while I am at work and transferring the call in realtime. Also scheduling a call forwarding for a specified time period. Wish it were on my cellphone too.
