Shortened Facebook Feeds?

Has anyone else noticed that their Facebook newsfeed is being shortened over time, basically you aren't being sent all of the activities for all of your friends - particularly if you follow a lot of fan sites like me :(

This is becoming a real issue, i'm sure facebook are doing it to cut down on the amount of traffic but i feel i'm missing out on events and dont know how to fix this as no amount of top news/most recent news seems to increase the amount i can see.

Any thoughts?
