Priorities

Oh, and in case you wondered, a detection system would cost about $300 million to put in place over the course of about five years. Apparently the US spends (or spent) 66 times that a year (20 billion) on air conditioning in Iraq and Afghanistan.


Yep you have to love...blowing up rocks in the middle east....yep we've got money for that.

Blowing up rocks in space....uhm that's a tough one NASA will need to find the funds for that somewhere.
(yes yes I know we are talking about deflection and not blowing them up but some poetic license).
