Casey Anthony will be found not guilty on murder charges

WOW!!! Stunning news announced today, basically prosecution is on their last 2 witnesses and will wrap up tomorrow.
I cant believe the prosecution doesnt have anything more...??? I've been watching every minute of the raw video footage live at http://www.livecourtchat.com/  and been expecting the smoking gun any day now....basically they haven't proved hardly anything apart from lying to the police.

I'm calling it now, Casey Anthony will be found guilty of obstruction (eg lying to the police) and Child endangerment etc but will be found NOT GUILTY of MURDER.

  1. Wow. Really. So exactly what kind of evidence do you think is necessary to find this woman guilty? A videotape of the actual crime?

  2. Barb, dont get me wrong i think she's responsible but the state has come no where close to proving their case.

  3. Dean, most convictions for murder cases are based on circumstantial evidence. If the circumstantial evidence in this case does not add up to a guilty verdict then NONE of them do. Scott Peterson was convicted and sentenced to death on less forensic evidence.

  4. Dean, most murder convictions are the result of circumstantial evidence. If a guilty verdict isn't rendered in this case based on circumstantial evidence then none of them do. Scott Peterson is sitting on death row right now as a result of an almost purely circumstantial case. I also must disagree with you regarding that the defense has come "nowhere close to proving their case." They've presented a ton of evidence to include forensics to prove their case way beyond a shadow of a doubt. Further, Jose' Baez made it worse for Casey with his propostrous opening statements.

Bet you 100 Australin dollars that she's convicted of first degree murder and is sentenced to at least life without parole.

  5. Well I for one would think that is dissapointing.

I cant talk about the Peterson case as this and the Mark Jensen case are the only ones i've watched but based on the evidence so far....they have failed to prove their case and i would be voting not guilty regardless of what i think she may or may not have done but the evidence has shown nothing beyond speculation.

  6. If I ever commit murder, Dean, I hope you are on my jury.

  7. I agree " Not Guilty " Casey has proved to be a liar, but so has Cindy, the investigators and several others that testified. The meter reader dropped the skull, picked it up with his poker stick, whatever, the evidence was disturbed. You would never have guessed that listening to the prosecution witnesses & their experts. Nothing has be PROVEN as far as guilty of murder. I'm so glad there are people that agree with me. I thought I was lost for a while there. It's also a shame the jury was left in the dark with so many things. This Judge also was a disgrace with all the side bars allowed and definitely showed favoritism towards the prosecution. Baez was NOT allowed to prove anything with all the objections allowed & his NOT having an opportunity to let a lot more things be heard. The whole family seems screwed up and there is still a lot of unanswered questions I think that the prosecution has not proven. There is doubt and with that NO CONVICTION.

  8. Keep watching. The defense has basicly made the prosecutions case for them. The last testimony from George Anthony was heart breaking and the Jury will relate more to him than her. George even said " I didn't want to believe THEN that she could do this" Meaning he does believe it now. And he even stated he smelled decomposition in the car. Also, in his suicide note, there were so confessions of a guilty conscience. Thats what ususally happens in suicide notes and the defense it trying to make it like George helped Casey. No matter what way you turn Casey Anthony is screwed. Plus there are closing statements from the prosecution. They could bring more evidence if they wanted and make their case. I think they can do it

  9. A guilty verdict does not require the absence of any doubt. One does not need to be convinced "beyond the shadow of a doubt" only "beyond a reasonable doubt." What reasonable person could believe Casey is not guilty? She obviously told her lawyers the crazy drowning story and implicated her father. George obviously had nothing to do with Caylee's death. That can be seen in his suicide note.

I've always thought Casey would be found guilty of a lesser charge, though, felony murder or manslaughter because it was impossible to tell how Caylee died. I never thought Casey would get the death penalty, though it would be available to the judge if Casey is found guilty of one of the lesser charges.

Tomorrow, the State will present witnesses who will testify that Cindy Anthony was at work during the time the searches about chloroform were made. Only Casey was home.

If the State can present a terrific closing argument, and I think they will, Casey just might be convicted of first degree murder. I don't think there's any way she's going to leave that courtroom a free person.

  10. Gabrielle, based on what people are saying on http://www.LiveCourtChat.com i think you might be right (eg based on jury of peers) but if i was on the jury i'd be sending a message to the state you failed to prove your case.

based on percentages there might be one person like me on the jury who isn't a sheep and can make decisions based on fact rather than emotion but i guess we'll see starting 9am on Sunday.

  11. Felony murder. She "sedated" her daughter and left her in the trunk of her car.

  12. Steve B., you are not alone....I think exactly like you. The prosecution did a poor job. Many questions are not answered. The trial overall was not fair. We should respect the law and leave our emotions outside the world will be a big mess!

  13. The dude tried to commit suicide? What a laffer! He commited reasonable doubt. Child molesting father, child molesting grandfather! Forensic evidence doesn't lie, and whether she did or didn't, there is reasonable doubt, which is enough to sway one juror. Glad I'm not on the jury, I fell asleep on day one in the opening statements, just now coming out of the coma it put me in, or, just taking a break from living a life, I suggest you people get one!

  14. It's unfortunate that they did not present enough evidence to convict her. This woman knows the truth on what happened to that girl and now we will never know because she is free to roam.

  15. I would have bet that she would be convicted of murder, but the jury wanted more. The defense's assertion that Caylee drowned in the swimming pool, that Lee Anthony sexually molested Casey, and Cindy stating she was the one who computer searched chloroform - I think the defense dreamed up all of this. The basic premise of the drowning was absurd, but it crossed all the t's and dotted all the i's - no conviction of anything (except lying to police) for Casey, not even child endangerment for not reporting Caylee missing, because, if Caylee drowned, how can you neglect someone who was already dead?

  16. yep....i also have some questions about how can "Caylees law" apply in someone was already dead as well......
